Fellowship Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Radiology, Computer-aided Diagnosis

A research laboratory in the Department of Radiology, University of Michigan is looking for a highly-qualified, self-motivated post-doctoral fellow to join our research program in computer-aided diagnosis. The research will involve development of digital image processing, computer vision, image analysis methods and software for detection and analysis of abnormalities on medical images such as mammograms, computed tomograms, tomosynthesis images, MR and ultrasound images.

The ideal candidate will have

* a PhD degree in computer science, electrical or biomedical engineering, or medical physics, * training or work experience in medical imaging, digital image processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, neural networks, machine learning, and statistics, * hands-on experiences in software design and implementation in C/C++ environment, * strong communication skills, and ability to work independently andwith an interdisciplinary team.

Any of the following qualifications will be a plus

* knowledge and experience in medical x-ray imaging, * experience in development of graphics software and user interfaces, * experience in development of software in a group environment.
